Healthy Changes in Your Diet Plan

Diet plan is very important for a healthy lifestyle. Poor health and diseases are the results of unhealthy diet. It is not enough if you follow a balanced diet plan; the most important thing is the time gap between each meal. Many people feel that following a diet plan is not possible and end up eating whatever they feel is good. Food that is good for tongue is not good for health. So start eating right food that is good for your health and enjoy the health benefits.

The first step in healthy diet plan is to eat lots of raw foods like vegetables, fruits, seeds, and nuts. These raw foods help in digestion as they contain enzymes. The enzymes in fruits, vegetables, legume, and seeds cannot survive when they are cooked at above 118 degree Fahrenheit. The body needs to produce its own enzymes for digesting cooked food. So adding raw food in your diet will surely help to maintain good health.

The next change to be made in the diet plan is with regards to timing. Everyday make it a point to have three meals and two snacks. Ensure that these meals contain the right quantity of carbohydrates, protein and fats that your body requires. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it provides the necessary energy for the whole day. There should be three
hours gap between meals. If you follow a perfect timing in diet you are sure of a healthy life.

The next healthy change in your diet is to increase the fiber level in daily food. Vegetables and fruits are rich in fiber and there are several ways to include them in the daily diet. You can add some grated fruits and vegetables to your soup, sauce and spaghetti. Replace gravies and sauces with vegetable salsa and fruit chutneys. These are good accompaniments to poultry and meat. Try different varieties of fruit and vegetable salad. Add flavor to salad with chopped red or yellow pepper.

Reducing salt in your daily diet would help you stay healthy. Replace a portion of the salt with some herb or spice or citrus juice or flavored vinegar or salad dressing. This is very healthy in a long run as too much of salt content results in high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

It is always good to use microwave for cooking as the food gets cooked in short time thereby retaining all essential nutrients in vegetables.
